Licensing

This license applies exclusively to FaceFocusVR hardware components. Third-party software used alongside FaceFocusVR is subject to its own respective licenses.

What You Can Do

  • Use FaceFocusVR hardware for any purpose
  • Modify the hardware design to suit your needs
  • Distribute copies of the hardware
  • Create derivative works — must include the label “Based on FaceFocusVR”
  • Publish your modifications under the CERN-OHL-S v2 license

What You Cannot Do

  • Use “FaceFocusVR” as branding for your own products or derivatives
  • Imply official endorsement by FaceFocusVR
  • Modify, disable, or remove security features
  • Remove the “Based on FaceFocusVR” label from derivatives

Open Source License

All FaceFocusVR hardware is licensed under CERN-OHL-S v2 (CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 — Strongly Reciprocal).

Derivative works must remain open source under the same CERN-OHL-S v2 license.

Trademark

“FaceFocusVR” is a protected trademark and is not part of the open-source license.

  • The trademark clause applies worldwide
  • Governed by German law
